I really want to thank all of you that have taken the time to join the new site as individual members or member sites. This year has been a very busy and fruitful one for us as well as many other SWTOR community groups, to include: Fan Sites, Guilds, Podcasts, Artists, Musicians, etc.
As we have progressed and continued to refine our core mission, we have adapted to the changing landscape and needs of the SWTOR community as best we could. To do this best, we upgraded our site and service to this new Web 2.0 social networking package - thanks Vall. The recent decision to remove the forums was based on the premise that if people were looking out our forums, then we have failed. We want to reflect or index SWTOR content to the target or source sites. Thus, if someone wants to find out about a podcast or fan site we want to direct you to a member's forums.
Now, we do plan to allow collaboration; however, we want to do this via in-site chat, email, or blogging. We want to capture the future of the internet technologies, and leverage the strength of our member sites to support the specific solutions you may desire. In short, the TOR Syndicate site serves best to help you coordinate, collaborate, and share resources amongst one another. In and of itself, we hope to NOT be content providers - rather we would like to help you get to a content provider or help you link up with another content provider to collaborate on content creation.
We still have a few more changes coming that we feel will continue to help and support the community. I welcome you all to interact here, and I challenge you all to provide as much help and support to the one another as you can.
