In many of the far reach’s of space, you will come across new and exciting species. One of such is the proud race called the Kel Dor. Native to the planet Dorin, this planet is set between two black holes making travel to this planet very dangerous. If any lucky soul set their eyes upon this planet surface, you will come to find the plain to be dusty, dark and to have little to no oxygen. The Kel Dor were considered very unattractive people. They ranged typically the same height and weight as a normal human but with peach to crimson red skin.
Their planet is composed of helium and has a gas that is only known in their world. In order for them to be able to travel to other planets that are rich with oxygen, they would need to wear a breathing apparatus and goggles which would filter out the oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide in most of the worlds. Their race was famous for their insight to the force, their ability to survive in the vacuum of space for a short time and their heightened reflexes. The Kel Dor were an agile race. Considered to be very wise with their sense of justice coming from rules in black and white, they were rumored to be able to communicate with their mind. This rumor was later defunct. The Kel Dor’s ability to use the force long before they ever joined the Jedi or even the galactic republic was unique. Their culture wasn’t very different than that of the Jedi. One difference though was that they called their Force user’s the Baron Do Sages who acted as advisers to the rich and the most powerful of Kel Dor families.
In the beginning of their ever growing power, the Sages used their abilities to predict weather patterns on their planet so they could safely travel through the plain of Dorin. Over time, the Sages leaned more about their power. They discovered how to detect and even prevent the most dangerous of events. They avoided any conflict of disaster or even war because of this ability. When the great race of Kel Dorian’s joined the Galactic Republic, the number of Sages grew ever fewer because the Jedi Order had far superior knowledge towards the force. The Sage’s number decreased when the Jedi came and took their Force-sensitive children to train to become a Jedi. Although this did lessen the Sage number’s, it could never stop some Kel Dorian families from continuing a once great tradition-to send their Force sensitive children to learn from the Sages.
When the Kel Dorian’s joined the Jedi Order, they were amazed by the great number of Force user’s that hail from Dorin. As a result, the Republic decided to place a Enclave on their planet. This only attracted a few Jedi that didn’t reside from the planet, Dorin. Following the Jedi civil war in 3,959 BBY, a group of Sith assassin’s infiltrated the enclave and killed everyone.
The most memorable Kel Dorian Jedi that resided in the old Republic was Grand Master Zym. He helped on the Treaty Of Coruscant and later died by trying to arrest Braden, a bounty hunter, for the shooting of gin lesl. The second most memorable Kel Dorian Jedi was master Gnost-Dural, who was the Jedi Order’s keeper of the Jedi archives. He was asked to create a timeline of events that later discovered new mysterious factors about the war which was used to build a new Jedi library.
