Native to the planet Mirial, a dry and frigid planet.  Mirialans are a human like species ranging from a yellow-green skin to a paler color. Fast and flexible, The Mirialan's natural talents allowed them to be deadly warriors if confronted by an enemy. The Mirialan culture is heavyily influenced by religion and originally had a primitive understanding of the Force. In such forms of their religion, they believed that certain acts are part of their destiny. Such acts caused them to tattoo a pattern on their body, showing they completed something important or gained abilities. The number of tattoo patterns would often show the level of skill or maturity they have acquired over the years. Prior to 3,951 BBY, the Mirialans had been loyal members of the Republic, but due to the events that occured in the Jedi Civil War they were convinced by Darth Malak, to join the fallen Jedi's Sith empire. After the death of Malak, at the hands of a redeemed Revan, they returned to the Republic.

HyloVisz-TOR

The most famous Mirialan in the Old Republic was Hylo Visz, a female smuggler who made a name for herself by smuggling for the Hutt Cartel. However, She is most famous for leading the attack that destroyed the Mandalorian blockade of the Hydian Way. Her plan was to use her ragtag fleet of smaller, more maneuverable freighters to scatter the Mandalorian vessels. When the Republic fleet saw her tactics and realized the vulnerable state of the Mandalorian fleet, they jumped in and wiped out the off guard and disorganized Mandalorians. Her ingenuity, combined with the might of the Republic fleet, achieved what the Jedi Order could not. These actions made her a galactic hero overnight. She later faded back into obscurity, failing to show up for her own medal ceremony. No one is sure what happened to her, though it is rumored she was killed for double crossing the Hutts.

Another famous Mirialan, Fortris Gall was a Jedi Knight famous for infiltrating an Imperial prison hold, rescuing from captivity Squad 419, a highly trained Republic demolitions unit. During this incursion, he engaged a Sith warrior in a duel. Gall emerged victorious by using two lightsabers to overcome his opponent. After the battle, he joined Republic soldiers assaulting an Imperial encampment, where they reigned victorious. Afterwords, Gall rejoined his master, Orgus Din and they continued their adventures together. When you come across this intrepid species on your adventure throughout the galaxy, keep in mind their will to fight and their insight to the force. Mirialans will keep on fighting for their beliefs and religious ideals, cross them and risk becoming the enemy of a fearsome adversary. So, try your best to gain their allegiance, for you will regret it when you have to go toe to toe with this powerful species.
